Wood Close is on the edge of Keswick. It's a modern bungalow, which means everything's on one level. No stairs at all. It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's been assessed for accessibility as well as everything else.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom has a walk-in shower with a seat and grab rails. The other has a bath with a shower over it. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
Outside, there's a private patio with a garden beyond it. The view is mainly over fields and trees towards the fells. You get the whole space to yourselves. There's parking for two cars on the drive.
Inside, it's straightforward. The living area is open plan with the kitchen. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's a cot and a highchair in the cupboard if you need them. Bedding and towels are included.
The local pub is about a fifteen minute walk away, down into town. Keswick centre is about a mile. You can walk it in twenty-five minutes, or drive in five. They've got supermarkets, shops, and a lot of places to eat.
Derwentwater is close. You can walk down to the lake in maybe half an hour, or drive to a car park in a few minutes. The launch trips from there are good. For walking, you're right on the edge of town so you can get onto the fells without going through the centre. Latrigg is a popular one nearby.
Within a half hour drive you've got a lot. Borrowdale, Buttermere, and the Whinlatter Forest are all that way. Further afield, you can get to Ullswater, Grasmere, or even up to Caldbeck within forty-five minutes if the traffic's light.
