Crossfeld
Crossfeld is a detached dormer bungalow on the edge of Keswick. You get good views of the fells from here.
It sleeps eight. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Handy thing, two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, so it's easier if you've got someone who doesn't want to tackle stairs.
It’s about a quarter of a mile walk into Keswick town centre. It's flat, so it's easy. There's a shop 200 yards away and a pub a bit further on.
Inside, the rooms are big. It's furnished nicely. The garden is good, enclosed, and you can park six cars.
Derwentwater is less than a mile away for the lake. You can walk to Latrigg from the house if you want. For a bigger day, National Trust Lake District has all the information you need. The Lake District National Park site is useful too.
Within half an hour you can drive to places like Grasmere, Ullswater, or up Honister Pass. But really, with all the walks from the door, you don't have to use the car much.
Facilities are all there: wifi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot. No pets.
