Pitcairn Cottage
Pitcairn Cottage is in Keswick. You can walk into the town centre in a minute or two. It's on a quiet street, so it's peaceful but everything is right there.
The cottage was built in 1892, it's traditional stone. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's well looked after.
The stairs are open and steep. It's just the way the cottage was built.
Keswick has plenty of shops, pubs and places to eat. The Theatre by the Lake is just down by the water. For a good walk, you can get straight onto the fells. Latrigg is a good start, or Catbells is nearby.
A car isn't really needed once you're here, but if you do drive, you're well placed. The northern lakes are all easy to get to. National Trust Lake District has good walking ideas.
The cottage has a small enclosed patio garden. Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
