Lund Cottage (Was Gabriel's Cottage)
This is Lund Cottage. It used to be called Gabriel's Cottage. It's on a corner in a terrace, about five minutes' walk from the middle of Keswick.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both downstairs. Two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been recently done up.
The layout is a bit different. The living room and kitchen are upstairs. That's because it was originally two smaller cottages. The bedrooms are on the ground floor. There are some old oak beams and a gas fire that looks like coal.
You can walk to Derwentwater and Hope Park in a few minutes. There's a local pub close by as well.
For a day out, you've got the whole Lake District. Borrowdale is about a fifteen minute drive. Ullswater, where you can get the steamer, is maybe half an hour. The Lake District National Park site is good for planning walks. The National Trust looks after a lot of the places round here too.
Facilities: WiFi, washing machine, a cot if you need it. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
