Wise Cottage
Wise Cottage is a ground floor apartment in Keswick. It's part of the Greta Grove Apartments. It’s very central, right across the road from the Booths supermarket.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both have proper beds, and each has its own bathroom. One is an en-suite. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well set up.
The front door is level access and there’s an allocated parking space on site, which is useful in Keswick. There’s a little patio at the front with a couple of chairs. You can see the fells from there.
Inside, it’s a straightforward layout. The kitchen has what you need, and the living space is open plan. It has things like a washing machine and a dishwasher. All the bedding and towels are included. They can provide a cot and a highchair.
You really don't need the car once you're here. The town centre is an easy walk. All the shops, pubs, and cafes are just down the road.
For getting out, you're right in the middle of it. You can walk up Latrigg from the doorstep. Catbells, Skiddaw, Blencathra are all nearby for bigger walks. Derwentwater is about a mile away. You can hire rowing boats there.
If you drive, Bassenthwaite Lake and the Lakes Distillery are about fifteen minutes north. The National Trust has a lot of information for walking in Borrowdale, which is just south. The Visit Cumbria site has general information for the area.
No pets. If you have a bigger group, you can book the apartment next door as well.
