Wise Cottage
Wise Cottage is an apartment in Keswick. It’s on the ground floor at Greta Grove, which is a block of flats just across from the Booth’s supermarket. You can walk into the town centre in a few minutes.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom has a double bed and an ensuite shower. The other has two single beds. There’s a main bathroom with a shower over the bath. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it’s comfortable and well looked after.
The kitchen has what you need. The living area is open plan. At the front there’s a small patio with a couple of chairs and a table. The view of the fells from there is very good. Access is level, so it works well if stairs are a problem. There’s one allocated parking space.
Being in Keswick, you don’t really need the car. The town has all the shops, pubs, and cafes you’d expect. The Theatre by the Lake is about a mile away, down by Derwentwater. You can hire boats there.
For walking, you’re right in the middle of it. Latrigg is practically on the doorstep. Catbells, Skiddaw, Blencathra are all nearby. Helvellyn is about a 30 minute drive.
In terms of facilities, everything is included: bedding, towels, WiFi, TV. There’s a washing machine and a dishwasher. A travel cot and highchair are there if you need them. No pets, sorry.
