Helvellyn House Apartment
Helvellyn House Apartment is on the ground floor in Keswick. It used to be one big house, now it’s two flats. This one being on the ground floor is handy if stairs are a problem.
It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. It’s a 3 Star place, so it’s comfortable and clean, not lavish. Everything works.
You can walk into the centre of Keswick in about five minutes. It’s flat all the way. Fitz Park is just there too. Having your own parking space is a real plus in Keswick, so that’s sorted.
Inside, it’s got proper double glazing now, so it’s quiet and warm. The sofas are leather and comfy. There’s a decent TV with a DVD player, and the WiFi works well throughout.
All the bedding and towels are included. There’s a washing machine, a shower, and a cot if you need one. The electricity is included in the price.
You’re right on the edge of the Lakes here. Derwentwater is a short walk away. For a bigger day out, National Trust Borrowdale is stunning, and the Lake District National Park site has all the walking routes. Honister Slate Mine is about twenty minutes by car, and the drive over Kirkstone Pass to Ullswater is about half an hour.
