Jane Eyre Cottage
Jane Eyre Cottage is on the edge of Keswick, about a five minute walk from the town centre. It's right next to the River Greta, so you get the sound of the water. You can walk into town through Fitz Park.
It sleeps five. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom. The bathroom and kitchen have been done up fairly recently. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The garden is a good size with a patio. You're welcome to bring pets. There's parking on the drive.
In town, there are plenty of pubs and places to eat. The Theatre by the Lake is nice for a show. The Derwent Pencil Museum is exactly what it sounds like. The leisure centre with the pool is very close, about two minutes walk.
For walking, you can start from the door. Fitz Park leads onto paths by the river. Skiddaw and Blencathra are right there if you want a big day out. Derwentwater is a short walk away for a gentler lake circuit. You can drive to places like Borrowdale or Buttermere in under half an hour.
The facilities cover what you'd need: wifi, a washing machine, dishwasher, and towels are included. It's wheelchair accessible to get in, but bear in mind there is one bathroom and the bedrooms are upstairs.
