Bewick Lodge
Bewick Lodge is a pine cabin on a site just outside Keswick. It's one of a few cabins there. You can walk into town, which takes about twenty minutes.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. Two bathrooms, which is handy. There's a decent sized garden with a patio, and the view from there looks out towards Latrigg and Skiddaw. Inside, it's clean and modern. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The site is at the bottom of the fells, so the views are good. You're back from the main road, so it's quiet, but you're still close to everything.
Keswick has the usual shops, pubs, and places to eat. The theatre by the lake puts on shows. For walks, you can start from the doorstep or drive a short way. Latrigg is a straightforward climb with a great payoff view. Derwentwater is about a mile from the cabin.
If you want to drive out, you're right in the middle of the northern lakes. Borrowdale is ten minutes south. Thirlmere and Helvellyn are about twenty minutes to the east. The coast at St Bees is under an hour.
For facilities, it's got what you'd expect: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's a cot if you need it.
