Cumberland Place

Cumberland Place is up on Keswick high street. It's an apartment on the first and second floors of a big Victorian building. The entrance is round the back.

It sleeps five. Two large bedrooms, and two bathrooms. One bathroom is en-suite to the main bedroom, which has a king-size bed. The other bedroom has a double and a single bed. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.

You go up 13 steps from the entrance to the living room. The ceilings are high and you can see right down the high street from the windows. The kitchen and dining area are open plan with the living room.

There's a small roof terrace. It gets the morning sun and you can see the fells from up there.

There's one designated parking space out the back. If you're careful, you might get two smaller cars in it.

You're right in the middle of town. Shops, pubs, and the Moot Hall are just across the road. Derwentwater is about a five minute walk through Hope Park. The launch boats run from there.

The Theatre by the Lake and the Pencil Museum are within walking distance.

For longer walks or drives, you're in a good spot. Latrigg is a popular start, and you can be at the foot of Skiddaw or driving over Honister Pass quickly. Borrowdale and Buttermere are both within about twenty minutes by car.

Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. The place has bike storage in the ground floor boot room. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
