Blencathra House
Blencathra House is in Keswick. You can walk into the town centre in two minutes, it's that close. It's a big stone house that sleeps eight people. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms.
It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well looked after and comfortable. The furnishings are good. You get mountain views from most of the windows.
It's very handy for the shops and cafes. Fitz Park and the River Greta are just at the bottom of the road. The leisure pool is there too.
The house has a wood burning stove for the evenings. There's a patio and a bit of garden out the back. WiFi is included, and all the bedding and towels. There's a cot if you need one. One of the bathrooms has a walk-in shower. Sorry, no pets.
For days out, you're right in the middle of everything. Lake District National Park has all the walking information. National Trust Lake District is useful for places like Borrowdale and Derwentwater. You can drive to places like Borrowdale or Grasmere in under half an hour.
