Oak Apple House

Oak Apple House is in Keswick. It's a detached house on a little private road with a few others like it. There's a garage and your own parking.

It sleeps six. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up recently so it's in good shape. It's comfortable.

You can walk into the town centre in a few minutes. All the shops and pubs are there. Hope Park is just down the road, and you can walk through that to get to Derwentwater and the Theatre by the Lake.

The house has a garden that's enclosed. We get a lot of rain here so you'll probably appreciate the garage for storing bikes and wet gear. There's a washing machine and dishwasher. Bedding is included and there's a cot if you need it. You can bring up to two dogs.

For walking, you can start right from the door. For bigger days, you're close to Skiddaw and the northern fells. The lake is there for a gentler stroll or a boat trip. Lake District National Park has all the maps and information. If you like history, Castlerigg Stone Circle is about a ten minute drive away.

Within half an hour you can drive to places like Grasmere, or over Honister Pass to Buttermere. Thirlmere and Ullswater aren't far either.
