The Fells is our cottage in Keswick. It sleeps five, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well equipped and comfortable. It's our own place in the Lakes, so we've tried to make it practical.
It's up a quiet lane, above the town. From the front you look right out over the rooftops to the fells. It's about a two minute walk downhill to the middle of Keswick. There's a footbridge 50 metres down the lane that goes over the River Greta and into Fitz Park. The park has a playground.
The garden is at the back. It's enclosed, so it's safe for a dog or kids. There's a patio area with some chairs.
Inside, the living room has an electric fire that looks like a flame. The sofa and chairs are comfortable. The kitchen has what you'd need, including a dishwasher and a washing machine. Wi-Fi is included, and bedding and towels are too. We can provide a cot.
You can bring one dog. The shop and a pub are about 200 yards away.
You're right on the edge of the fells here for walking. Derwentwater is a short walk down into town. For planning days out, the Lake District National Park site is useful, and so is the National Trust page for the area.
