Skiddaw
This is Skiddaw. It's a shepherd's hut on our farm near Keswick. It's for two people. The rating is 3 Star, which means it's clean and has what you need, but it's basic.
It's one room with a double bed, a small kitchen area, and a shower room. The kitchen has a two-ring hob, fridge, and microwave. It's compact, so you'll be living in each other's pockets, but it's got everything. The shower is a proper one, which is good.
The best thing is the view from the window. You look out over fields towards Derwentwater. Latrigg and Catbells are in front, and Skiddaw is behind you. You get your own bit of garden with a bench to sit out.
The nearest pub is about a mile and three quarters down the lane. It's a nice walk, but it's uphill on the way back. Keswick is two miles away for shops and cafes. You can walk from the hut onto the fells.
There's parking right next to it. Bedding and towels are included. Because it's a farm, you'll see sheep and maybe the odd red squirrel. We've got another hut, Derwent, next to it if you want to come with another couple.
