Tommy's Cottage
Tommy's Cottage is in Keswick. It's a stone cottage about five minutes walk from the town centre. Flat walk, which is useful.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor and has its own bathroom, which is good if stairs are a problem. It's got a 4 Star rating. They did a full renovation with an interior designer, so it's more on the smart side. Coordinated fabrics, that sort of thing.
Out the back there's a small enclosed courtyard. It gets the sun and you can sit out there. It's private.
Facilities are all there: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair. You can bring one dog.
Keswick itself has shops, pubs, places to eat. It's a good base. Derwentwater is right there for a walk or to get a boat. The main fells aren't far. You can drive to places like Borrowdale or Buttermere in well under half an hour.
