Burns Knott
Burns Knott is in a quiet street in Keswick. It’s a bungalow, so everything’s on one level. That’s good if you don’t want stairs. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms, and there’s one bathroom with a shower.
The place has a 4 Star rating, which means it’s comfortable and well-equipped. There’s an open plan kitchen and living area. The sofa and beds are comfy, nothing fancy. The patio looks out towards Blencathra. You can have a barbecue out there.
You’re about a ten minute walk from the centre of Keswick. Plenty of shops, cafes and pubs there. The nearest pub is about half a mile. Derwentwater is a short walk away. You can get a boat from Keswick Launch across the lake, which is nice. Cat Bells is a popular walk nearby, but there are plenty of others for all abilities.
For a day out, you can drive to places like Grasmere or Buttermere within half an hour. The Theatre by the Lake is in town if you fancy a show. If you like golf, there’s a course nearby.
Facilities wise, it’s got what you’d expect. WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. There’s parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets allowed, sorry.
