Grooms Room
This is the Grooms Room. It's part of a converted coach house at Dale Head Hall near Legburthwaite. There are four other apartments here, all around a cobbled yard.
It's small, sleeps two in one bedroom. One bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable but not luxurious. WiFi works fine.
The view looks out over Thirlmere lake. The garden is part of the hotel grounds, but you can walk through it. It's very quiet.
You're right at the foot of Helvellyn. The path up starts from here. There's also a good, flat walk along the side of the lake from the door.
Keswick is about five miles away for shops and things. Grasmere is maybe 20 minutes by car. Windermere and Ambleside are a bit further, maybe 35 minutes.
There's a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside. Sorry, no pets.
It can be booked together with The Coach House next door if you're a group of four.
