Castle Howe
This place is called Castle Howe. It's a bungalow in Rosthwaite, in Borrowdale. All on one level, which is handy.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, and two bathrooms, which is useful. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up recently, so it's clean and comfortable. The kitchen is new. There's a porch where you can leave walking boots or store a couple of bikes.
The main thing is the view. The garden and the big windows look straight out over the fells. It's a proper Borrowdale view.
You're right in it for walking. The footpaths start from the door. Scafell Pike and Great Gable are up there. Derwentwater is a short drive or a decent walk away.
There's a shop and a café about three minutes' walk up the lane. The pub is a mile away, in Stonethwaite. For a bigger shop, Keswick is about a fifteen minute drive.
The place has a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding is included. We can take one well-behaved dog.
