Brasscam

Brasscam is in Seatoller, right at the bottom end of the Honister Pass. It's a stone-built cottage, part of a small group called Mountain View.

It's got three bedrooms and two bathrooms, and sleeps six. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The rooms are all a good size with plenty of storage.

The main thing is the location. A track starts practically from the garden gate and goes straight up onto the fells. You can walk to Glaramara, or Great Gable, from here without needing the car. It's very quiet, and the views from all the windows are just of the mountains.

The villages of Stonethwaite and Rosthwaite are a short walk away. There's a pub in Seatoller too. Keswick is about seven miles for bigger shops, but Asda delivers here. Derwentwater and Buttermere are each about three miles in different directions.

For facilities, it's got everything you'd expect. Woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside and a small private garden area.

You can bring one dog. We also have a cot if you need it.

If you're planning walks, the National Trust Borrowdale page is useful, and for the wider area, Lake District National Park.
