Field House Lodge
Field House Lodge is a cedar lodge in Grange, Cumbria. It’s a single-storey place, so everything is on the ground floor. It sleeps two, in one bedroom.
The lodge itself is comfortable. You’ve got an open plan living area with a sofa and a TV. There’s an electric stove that looks like a wood burner. The kitchen area has what you need, including a dishwasher and a washing machine.
The bedroom looks out over fields towards Derwentwater and the fells. You can see Skiddaw and Catbells from there. The shower is a walk-in one.
You have your own enclosed garden with a patio and a BBQ. Parking is right outside.
It’s a quiet spot. There’s a hotel with a restaurant and bar about a quarter of a mile walk away. For a shop, you’d drive to Keswick, which is about four miles.
You’re right by Derwentwater. You can walk down to the lake easily. A low-level path goes right around it. For a more classic walk, you can get a boat from the jetty in the village over to Hawes End and climb Catbells from there. The whole of Borrowdale is on your doorstep for walking.
Keswick has all the outdoor shops, cafes, and a few supermarkets. It’s a ten-minute drive.
