Roseworth

Right, Roseworth. It's in Portinscale, which is basically a little village on the outskirts of Keswick. A five minute drive, maybe a fifteen minute walk across the fields if you don't fancy getting in the car.

It's a semi-detached place, sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's had a lot of work done, so it's in good nick. The kitchen was redone a few years ago. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well put together.

The main thing is the garden. It catches the sun in the afternoon and evening, which is nice. You can sit out there. There's parking on the drive and a garage you can stick bikes in.

The views are good. From the front you look out at the fells around Causey Pike. From the back you can see Skiddaw.

The Farmers Arms pub is just down the road, maybe a hundred yards. They do food. There's a shop about the same distance the other way for basics. Keswick has all the other shops and places to eat.

For getting out, it's simple. You can walk to Derwentwater and the marina in a few minutes. You're right at the bottom of Whinlatter Pass and the Newlands Valley, so it's spot on for walking or biking straight from the door. Keswick itself is a good base for bus routes if you don't want to drive to the walks.

Facilities are what you'd expect: WiFi, parking, a cot and highchair if you need them. The garden is enclosed. No pets allowed.
