Howe Bridge House

Howe Bridge House is in How, about a mile from Keswick. It's a semi-detached cottage that used to be for railway workers. You get pretty good views. From the back you can see Skiddaw and the tip of Blencathra. The front bedroom faces south and you can see a line of fells from there, Cat Bells and so on.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The rooms are comfortable. There are two living rooms, which is handy if people want to do different things. They both have an ornamental fireplace, but they're not for use.

The cottage is up a low hill surrounded by fields, but it's not remote. You can walk into Keswick in about 25 minutes along the river path. Portinscale village is closer, maybe a ten minute walk. They've got a pub, a couple of cafes, a restaurant, and the marina there.

Keswick itself has all the shops and things you'd need. For walking, you're right on the edge of the fells. Latrigg is practically on the doorstep. A bit further, you've got Cat Bells, Blencathra, and the whole of the Northern Fells within a half hour drive.

For facilities, it's got what you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. There's on-site parking and an enclosed garden. Bedding is included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid.
