Glenwood

Glenwood is on one of the residential streets in Keswick. You're in a quiet spot, but you can walk into the middle of town in about five minutes. It's one of two cottages built next to each other in the nineties.

The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well equipped. The layout is straightforward. Everything you'd expect is there.

You've got a local shop and pubs about 200 metres away. Keswick has everything: cafes, a cinema, a leisure centre, and plenty of outdoor shops. The Booths supermarket is good for supplies.

For walks, you can be on the fells in no time. Latrigg is a popular one to start with, or you can drive a little way to bigger walks. Derwentwater is a ten minute walk from the cottage. You can get a boat from there.

If you want to drive out, Borrowdale is about ten minutes. Thirlmere and the Helvellyn range are within half an hour. The Lake District National Park site has good walking information.

Facilities: Washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car at the cottage. No pets, sorry.
