Lake View Annex
Lake View Annex is in Millbeck, just outside Keswick. It's an annex joined to our house. We live here and run the shepherds huts next door.
It sleeps two people. One bedroom upstairs with an ensuite shower. The view from that bedroom window is its main feature. You can see Catbells and Latrigg fells clearly. Downstairs is open plan, with French doors to the garden. We redid it in 2022. There's a wood burning stove.
Outside, there's a decent sized lawn and a patio with seating and a barbecue. The view from the garden is very good.
The nearest pub is about a mile and three quarters away. It's a half hour walk, or a short taxi ride. You'll see red squirrels and birds of prey on that walk.
Keswick town centre is two miles away. It's got all the usual shops, pubs and restaurants you'd expect from a Lake District town. You've got Derwentwater for boats, and all the fells for walking right on the doorstep.
Within half an hour's drive you can get to places like the Lakes Distillery at Bassenthwaite or the Theatre by the Lake. For wider planning, the Lake District National Park site is useful, and the National Trust has good information on their local places.
Facilities: parking right here, WiFi, all bedding and towels are provided, and the electricity is included. It's a 4 Star property. No pets, I'm afraid.
