Lake View Annex
Lake View Annex is in Millbeck, just outside Keswick. It's attached to our side of the house, but the space is entirely separate and you won't see us unless you need to. It's basically a large annex for two people.
It sleeps two. One bedroom upstairs, one bathroom attached to it. It has a 4 Star rating. The main thing is the view from the bedroom window. You look right out towards Catbells and Latrigg. It's a good reason to have a slow morning.
Downstairs is open plan, with a log burner. The French doors open onto your own garden area. There's a decent lawn and a patio with seating and a barbecue. The view from there is good too.
Facilities are straightforward. The electricity is included, there's wifi, bedding and towels are provided, and you can park on site. It's on our working farm, so you'll see sheep in the fields.
The nearest pub is about a mile and three quarters away. It's a nice walk, but you might want a taxi back, especially if it's dark. It takes about 30 minutes on foot.
Keswick is two miles away. That's where you'll find all the shops, restaurants, and the supermarket. The Pencil Museum is there if that's your thing. Derwentwater is right there for boats or walking the shore.
You're well placed for walking. Catbells is practically on the doorstep. For a longer drive, Bassenthwaite is about 15 minutes away, where the Lakes Distillery and the Wildlife Park are.
