Whitegates

Whitegates is in Portinscale. It's a detached bungalow in a quiet bit of the village. You get fell views from the front.

It sleeps six, but there are only two bedrooms. One is a double, the other has bunk beds and a double bed. So it's a good fit for a family or two couples who don't mind sharing. There's one bathroom. It has a 3 Star rating, which means it's clean and everything works, but it's not a show home.

The garden has a patio and some grass. Parking is right outside.

Inside, there's a washing machine, a TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot.

Sorry, no pets.

Portinscale has a pub that does food, and there's a restaurant. Keswick is about a 20 minute walk across the fields. It's handy for shops and cafes.

Derwentwater is half a mile away. You can walk around the lake or up into the fells from the door. For a longer drive, Buttermere and Grasmere are within half an hour.
