This is Cosy Cottage in Portinscale. It's a proper little Lakeland cottage right in the village. Two bedrooms, sleeps five, and you can bring two dogs. It's got beams, a wood burner, and it's got a four star rating.
It's not huge, but it's comfortable and warm. The stairs are steep, like most of these old cottages.
You can walk out the door and be on a path up a fell like Catbells or around Derwentwater. Keswick is about a mile away for shops and cafes. There's a pub in the village, and a tea room.
For a bigger day out, you're close to places like Whinlatter Forest, or you can drive up to the northern lakes. Keswick has a leisure centre with a pool if the weather's poor.
It's got parking for one car, WiFi, a washing machine, and we can provide a cot. The wood burner works well.
