Wanderers Rest is a terraced house in the middle of Keswick. It's made from the local stone. It sleeps seven people across four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after, not luxurious. The ceilings are high, so the rooms feel spacious. Downstairs, there's a living room and a separate dining room. The garden at the back is enclosed, which is good for dogs. There's a store out there you can use to dry wet coats.
On the first floor, there's a bedroom with a super king bed and its own shower room, and another with twin beds. Up another flight of stairs, there's a king-size room and a single room. Those top rooms have a view over the rooftops towards the fells. The stairs to the top floor are a bit steep, just so you know.
You can park on the street. Once you're parked, you can walk everywhere. The town centre, with all the shops and pubs, is about a five-minute walk away.
Being in Keswick, you're right in the middle of it all. Derwentwater is a 15-minute walk. You can hire rowing boats there. For a longer walk, you can go up Latrigg from town. Skiddaw and Blencathra are just to the north. Catbells and the bigger hills like Helvellyn are a short drive away.
The house has Wi-Fi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. We take up to three dogs.
If you're planning walks or visits, the Lake District National Park and National Trust Lake District sites are useful.
