Wanderers Rest is a terraced house on a street a few minutes' walk out of Keswick town centre. It's in a row of similar houses, built from the local stone. It sleeps seven across four bedrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after.
The main living room is at the front and has a big smart TV. There's a separate dining room behind it, which is good if you want some space. The garden is out the back, enclosed with a patio area. There's also a store room which works as a drying space for wet boots and coats.
Inside, the ceilings are high, so it feels quite spacious. There are two bathrooms, one is an ensuite to the super king bedroom on the first floor. The other bedrooms are up there too: a twin room, and then up another flight of stairs on the second floor there's a king room and a single. The views from the top floor are nice, you can see over the rooftops towards the fells.
You can bring up to two dogs. The stairs are a typical old house style, so they turn sharply and are a bit steep in parts. The parking is on the street outside, it's usually fine but can get busy in peak season.
You're about a five minute walk from the middle of Keswick. All the shops, pubs, and cafes are there. There's a supermarket too. For things to do, Derwentwater is less than a mile away, you can hire rowing boats there. The Theatre by the Lake is on its shore. Catbells is a very popular walk and is just a short drive south of the town.
The wider area is all about the walking. You're right in the northern part of the Lake District National Park. Skiddaw and Blencathra are the big hills to the north. Helvellyn is about a 30 minute drive to the south, past Thirlmere.
Included in the place is a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, all the bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
