Danika East
This is Danika East. It's a little bothy in Scales, on a working farm at the bottom of Blencathra. It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom, a 3 Star rating.
You're on a farm, so you'll see sheep. There are a few other holiday lets here, but you've got your own space. The parking is right outside.
It's basic but fine. It's warm, it's clean, you've got WiFi and a TV. The shower works. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring a dog. Two, actually.
The local pub is about a fifteen minute walk. They do food. For a shop, you'll need to drive to Threlkeld or Keswick.
Keswick is ten minutes in the car. That's where you'll find most things: supermarkets, places to eat, the theatre by the lake. Derwentwater is there too. You can get a boat out on it.
For walking, you're right on the edge of it. Blencathra is straight ahead. Skiddaw and Helvellyn aren't far. If you don't want a big hike, there are lower paths along the valleys.
