Kissing Gate
Kissing Gate is on Hewetson Court, just off Main Street in Keswick. It's one of a few apartments around a courtyard. It's quiet back there, set back from the road.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and comfortable but not fancy. We leave the heating on a low background setting in the colder months so it's never freezing when you arrive.
The front door is on the ground floor, but the main living area is upstairs. That's where the kitchen and sitting room are. The stairs are standard, not too steep.
You can walk into the centre of Keswick in a few minutes. The shop and pub are about 50 yards away. There are plenty of places to eat. Derwentwater is a ten minute walk down the road. You can get a boat from there.
The apartment is good for walking. You can start right from the door. For a longer drive, Buttermere is about twenty minutes. The Honister Pass mine is a similar distance. If you want a big day out, you can get to the western lakes like Wasdale, or up to Penrith, in under an hour.
Facilities: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking for one car on site. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a travel cot. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
