The Old Stable is a cottage for two people in the middle of Keswick. It's just down a small lane from Main Street, so it’s quiet but you’re right there in the town.
It's a 4 Star place, which means it's been done up recently. Everything's clean and works. You come in through a stable door. The kitchen is new and has what you need. The shower's good. Upstairs is one open room with the bed, a sofa, and a TV. There's Netflix if you want it.
The stairs are quite steep. The space is compact, so it suits a couple who are out and about more than they’re in.
You can walk to everything in Keswick in a minute or two. Shops, pubs, the cinema, George Fisher for gear. It's all there. A parking permit for the nearby car park is included, which you'll need.
For walks, you can be on the path up Latrigg in no time. Catbells is across the lake. Proper mountains like Skiddaw and Blencathra are right there if that's your thing. Derwentwater is a five minute walk.
It has WiFi, a washing machine, and bedding and towels are provided. The entrance is level, so it's accessible for wheelchairs at the door. No pets.
