Topsey Turvey
Topsey Turvey is a cottage in Keswick. It's right behind the Four in Hand Hotel, used to be their stable.
The bedrooms are on the ground floor. Living room and kitchen are upstairs. It's laid out that way so you get a good view from the first floor window. You can see over the town roofs to the fells, Causey Pike and Grisedale. It sleeps four, two bedrooms, and it has two bathrooms which is handy.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean, comfortable, everything works. It's not huge but it's quiet for being so central.
There's a small patio area out back. Everything you'd need is in there: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot if you need one.
Being in Keswick town centre, you're a few minutes' walk from the shops and the lake. The hotel pub next door is straightforward, does food. You don't need to drive anywhere if you don't want to.
For walks, you can start right from the door. You're close to Derwentwater and the paths around it. You're not far from Catbells. For a bigger day out, National Trust Borrowdale is the main one. The Lake District National Park site has all the walking route details.
