6 Ladstock Hall is a first floor apartment in Thornthwaite. It's part of a big old converted country house. The main thing about it is the view. You look straight out across the valley towards Skiddaw. It's a proper, full-width view from the living room and kitchen.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. Everything's included: bedding, towels, electricity.
The living room is long and has a big bay window with a couple of chairs pointed at the view. They've left a spotting scope there. You can see Bassenthwaite Lake from there and sometimes spot ospreys. The kitchen has a big table. It's all modern inside.
Outside, there's a patio area you can use. There's parking on site and a locked store for bikes. You've got a dishwasher and washing machine. A cot is available if you need it. No pets.
Thornthwaite is about three miles from Keswick. Braithwaite village is less than a mile's walk away through the fields on a bridle path. It's got a shop and a few pubs that do food. You're right at the foot of Whinlatter Forest, which is good for mountain biking and walking. Bassenthwaite Lake is close by for sailing or fishing.
You can drive into Keswick in about ten minutes. From there you can get to Borrowdale, Newlands, and the western side of the Lakes. The golf course at Keswick is nearby.
