Beech Nut is in Keswick. It's a small apartment in a block of them, off the main street. You get your own parking space, which is good because the centre's full of tourists.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a walk-in shower. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxurious. The windows are double glazed to keep the street noise down.
The town centre is a few minutes walk. Lake Derwentwater is about ten minutes on foot. There's a leisure pool nearby. For eating and drinking, you've got pubs, restaurants, and shops about fifty yards away.
For walks, you're right in the middle of it. Latrigg is a popular one from the town. For more serious stuff, you can get to Skiddaw, or drive to Borrowdale or Buttermere in about twenty minutes. The National Trust has a lot of land around here. The Lake District National Park site has walking routes.
Facilities included are a dishwasher, WiFi, bedding and towels, a cot, and that parking space. No pets.
