Grajo Cottage
Grajo Cottage is in Scales, Cumbria. It's one of a row of holiday cottages on a working farm. The view out the front is straight up Blencathra. It really is just there.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two doubles and a twin. One bathroom upstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. It's stone built, so the walls are thick and the windowsills are deep.
Downstairs is a living room and an open plan kitchen with a dining table. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Outside the front door there's a private, south-facing patio with a table and chairs. You can get to it by some steps or a ramp.
The farm is just off the A66, between Threlkeld and Scales. There's a pub about three quarters of a mile away. The nearest shop is in Keswick, about four and a half miles.
Keswick is five miles away. That's where you'll find the big supermarkets, most of the shops, and a lot of places to eat. Derwent Water is about seven miles. If you're walking, you're right on the lower slopes of Blencathra. Helvellyn isn't far. From Keswick you can get to Skiddaw or Catbells.
Facilities: all bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. There's WiFi and a TV. No pets, sorry. It's on a working farm, so you'll see sheep and cattle about.
