Blencathra
Blencathra is one of the converted barns here at Blakebeck Farm. It's a Grade II listed building, so the walls are thick and the windows are a nice size. It looks out over the fields towards the fells.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom on the ground floor. The living area is upstairs, which gives you those views. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and has what you need.
You're on a working farm. There are sheep in the fields, and the owner also keeps some alpacas and donkeys. It's quiet. You can walk straight out from the door onto the lanes or up towards the hills.
The village of Mungrisdale is about two miles away. It's got a pub that does food. Keswick is about seven or eight miles. That's where you'll find most of the shops, restaurants, and the leisure centre. Derwentwater is there too, and you can get the launch boats from there.
For driving out, you're well placed. Ullswater and Thirlmere are close. The northern fells are right on your doorstep. Keswick Golf Course is just down the road.
In the barn you've got a dishwasher, washing machine, Wi-Fi, and an enclosed patio area with a BBQ. There's parking right outside. We can take one dog. We provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them.
