Netherend is a converted barn in Scales. It's a detached place, so no shared walls. You get the whole garden to yourselves.
It sleeps ten in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. The rating is 3 Star, so it's comfortable and clean, not luxury. It's very roomy for two families or a big group.
The views are the main thing. You can see Blencathra from the garden. The windows look out over fields all around.
You can walk straight from the door onto the fells. The lanes are quiet for cycling. Keswick is about four and a half miles away. It's a proper market town with shops, pubs, and a leisure centre. Derwentwater is there for walks or you can get the launch boat.
Keswick Golf Course is a mile and a half away. Ullswater and Thirlmere are a short drive south.
Inside, there are two wood burners, which makes it cosy. The walls are stone in places and there are oak beams. The stairs are normal.
For facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and wifi. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. There's a play area for kids in the garden. No pets sorry.
