Lookin How is on the edge of Dockray, a little hamlet just outside Ullswater. It's a detached stone cottage, so you've got your own space.
It sleeps eight, in four bedrooms, with two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after. The living room is bright and looks out over Aira Beck. There's a wood burner in there. The dining room has a big old table. You'll find a cupboard on the ground floor with some toys and jigsaws left for guests.
The conservatory is a good spot. You can watch the beck, the fells, and sometimes red squirrels and birds in the trees.
There's a pub about 100 yards down the road. They serve food. They've also got a tea room and an art gallery there. For a bigger shop, Penrith or Keswick are about a 20 minute drive. Rheged, the visitor centre, is nearby too.
For walking or cycling, you can just step out the door. You're right in the northern part of the Lake District. Ullswater is close. You can drive to the foot of Helvellyn in about 15 minutes.
Practical things: there's parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and an enclosed garden. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. Sorry, no pets.
