Spring Grove
This is Spring Grove in Watermillock. It's by Ullswater, in the northern part of the Lakes. You get here via your own private driveway, and the place sits in about fifty acres of its own woodland.
It sleeps three people. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable. You're right next to the owners' place, but it's discreet.
The garden is yours to use. We get a lot of wildlife: deer, badgers, buzzards. You'll see them.
For walking, you don't need the car. You can step out from the cottage and be on the fells or by the lake. The actual lake shore is just across the road. You have your own bit of frontage there. You can fish, or put a canoe or a small dinghy in if you have one.
The nearest spot for a pub or a cafe is Pooley Bridge, about a mile and a half away. There's a restaurant you can walk to from here. For a bigger shop, Penrith is seven miles.
In terms of things to do locally, you've got sailing, boat hire, and the Ullswater steamers. There's pony trekking and golf nearby too.
What's here: a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking. Sorry, no pets.
