Riverbank Cottage
Riverbank Cottage is just outside Pooley Bridge. It's a bungalow, so everything is on the ground floor. It's detached, and you've got your own patio and garden that goes down towards the River Eamont. It's on a working farm, but the cottage itself is private.
It sleeps five people. There are three bedrooms and, usefully, three bathrooms. It has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped.
You can walk to Pooley Bridge in about five minutes. There are shops, a couple of pubs, and cafes there. You can get the Ullswater steamer from the pier. The cottage is about half a mile from the lake shore itself.
For walking, you're right at the foot of the fells. You can get onto the High Street range from practically the doorstep. Helvellyn is about eight miles drive for a bigger day out. Penrith is six miles for supermarkets. Windermere is about half an hour's drive.
Facilities: it's got a woodburning stove, a washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if needed. No pets, I'm afraid.
