Primrose Bank is on the edge of Sockbridge, right by Yanwath. It's an old barn we converted a couple of years ago. You get the whole place and the garden to yourselves. It's detached and feels quite private, looking out over fields.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One of them is downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up well, so everything works and is clean. The stairs are fairly typical for a barn conversion, so they're not steep but they are open tread.
There's a pub about a ten minute walk away in Tirril. They do food and have a little shop. Another good pub, the Yanwath, is about a mile away. For shops and cafes, Pooley Bridge is three miles up the road. That's also where you get down to Ullswater.
You're right on the edge of the Lake District National Park here. Some good walks start from the door. For higher fells, you can drive into the heart of it. Keswick is about half an hour away, Windermere maybe forty minutes. You can get to most of the main lakes within an hour.
If you like being on the water, Ullswater is the place for sailing or just taking a steamer trip. There's pony trekking near Pooley Bridge too.
Facilities wise: there's parking for a couple of cars, a wood burner, wifi, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
