Bumblebee Nook is a terraced cottage in Yanwath. That's just outside Penrith, about five minutes by car. It's next to our house, but it's completely separate and you get the place to yourselves.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up, but we kept the old features like the fireplace. There's a wood burner in the living room.
The cottage faces south-east, so the front gets the sun most of the day. There's a little area out front to sit. The back has a raised patio, but you need to go up nine steps to get to it. From there you can see the fields and the Pennines in the distance.
You're right in the middle of things here. You can walk from the door. The River Eamont is close by, with King Arthur's Round Table and Mayburgh Henge. Lake District National Park authority site has good walking maps. Ullswater is about four miles away. You can get a boat trip on the Ullswater Steamers. For a bigger walk, Helvellyn is about ten miles away.
Penrith is five minutes down the road. It's a proper market town with shops and places to eat. Keswick is under half an hour's drive, and you've got the Northern Fells like Blencathra even closer.
For what's here: there's parking, WiFi, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can put a cot and highchair in if you need them. No pets, sorry.
There's a pub about half a mile away. The nearest shop is in Penrith.
