Amber Nook
Amber Nook is in Glen Dowlin, near Ullswater. It's a four star lodge, which is a good standard.
It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms, and each has its own bathroom, which is handy. You can bring up to two dogs.
The lodge is on a small site with a few others. It's quiet. You're in the countryside, surrounded by fields.
Inside, it's got what you need. A washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, a TV. All the bedding and towels are here. There's a cot and a highchair if you're bringing little ones. The garden is yours to use, and you can park right outside.
There's a local pub within walking distance. For a bigger shop or a meal out, you'd drive into Penrith. It's about four miles to Ullswater. You can get the Ullswater steamers from there. Aira Force waterfall is close by for a walk.
Penrith town is a 15 minute drive. The Rheged centre is there too, which has a cinema and shops. For a longer day out, Keswick is about half an hour away.
