The Oaks
The Oaks is out here in Great Strickland. It’s a lodge, new in 2023, so everything's in good shape. You get the whole place to yourselves, it’s detached.
It sleeps six. Three king size bedrooms, all on the same floor. One bedroom can be two singles if you need it. There’s one main bathroom and an ensuite just for the master bedroom.
It’s open plan inside. The living area has big bi-fold doors that open onto a private patio. There’s a wood burner for cooler evenings. The kitchen’s got a dishwasher and washing machine. WiFi and a Smart TV are included. There’s parking right outside.
The patio has seating, a table, and a BBQ. The garden is yours.
You can bring up to two dogs.
There’s a pub about a hundred yards away. They do food. For a bigger shop, Penrith is about five miles.
Location wise, it’s really quiet here. You’re two miles from the edge of the Lake District National Park. Ullswater is about six miles away. The M6 is nearby if you need to get on it, but there are plenty of quiet country lanes for walking or cycling straight from the door.
