Garden Cottage
Garden Cottage is in Newby, which is in the Eden Valley. It's detached, so there are no neighbours attached to the walls.
It sleeps two people in one bedroom and has one bathroom. It's graded 4 Star, which generally means it's comfortable and in good order. The layout is all on one level, so there are no stairs inside.
The cottage has a woodburning stove for the colder months. The garden is fully enclosed and private. There's off-road parking right by the cottage.
For facilities, you've got a washing machine, WiFi, a TV, and a BBQ. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
The village pub, a shop, and a restaurant are about a mile away. The market town of Appleby-in-Westmorland is just down the road. Penrith is about a 20-minute drive for bigger supermarkets.
You're well placed here for getting about. The M6 motorway is only a few minutes away, so you can easily reach the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales, or head up into Scotland, all within about half an hour's drive.
Locally, Brougham Castle is nearby. The National Trust's Acorn Bank garden is worth a visit if you like that sort of thing. If the weather's poor, the Rheged centre near Penrith has films and exhibitions.
