Riverside Cottage
Riverside Cottage is in Maulds Meaburn, a village in the Eden Valley. It's a semi-detached place, right next to the Lyvennet Beck. You can hear the river from the garden. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got kids or a dog.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, not luxury. The kitchen was all done up a couple of years ago, so it's in good nick. We keep it clean.
You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's parking on the drive and we've put in an electric vehicle charger. The washing machine and all bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
The village is quiet. There's a local pub a short walk away. It's about seven miles to the M6, so getting around is easy. Penrith and Appleby are the nearest proper towns for shops.
You're well placed for walking. The Coast to Coast path and the Cumbrian Cycleway are nearby. It's about a half hour drive to get into the Lake District proper. Ullswater and places like Aira Force are within that range. If you want to go further, the Yorkshire Dales or the Northumberland coast are doable for a day out.
