Swallow's Nest
Swallow's Nest is in Crackenthorpe, which is a few miles from Appleby-in-Westmorland. It used to be a waggon house. It's a bungalow, so everything is on the ground floor. There are no steps at the entrance.
It sleeps four people in two bedrooms and has one bathroom. The bathroom is a wet room, with grab rails and a seat. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and functional, not luxury.
The cottage is next to the owner's house and another holiday let called Cruck End. You have your own space. Appleby is two miles away for shops and pubs.
You're on the edge of the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales, and the Eden Valley. The M6 is about ten minutes away if you're driving in. For a full day out, the Lake District is about half an hour's drive. The National Trust has a lot of the big houses and walks there. The Yorkshire Dales are a similar distance in the other direction.
The facilities are straightforward: there's a washing machine, wifi, and parking right outside. Bedding is included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
