This is Swallow's Nest in Crackenthorpe. It's one of two cottages next to our house. It used to be a waggon house, so it's got a different layout to a normal cottage.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. The bathroom is a wet room on the ground floor. It's got wheelchair access throughout and grab rails in places, so it's suitable for someone with limited mobility. There's parking right outside.
The rating is 3 Star. It's comfortable and clean. It has WiFi and a washing machine. Bedding is included, and we can provide a cot and highchair.
You can bring one dog.
Crackenthorpe is quiet. Appleby-in-Westmorland is about two miles away for shops, pubs, and a swimming pool. Penrith is ten miles.
You're right between three good areas for walking: the Eden Valley, the Lake District, and the Yorkshire Dales. All are within a 30 minute drive. The Lake District National Park and Yorkshire Dales National Park websites are useful for planning. Hadrian's Wall is about an hour away if you fancy a longer trip.
