Mirfield is on the edge of Kirkby Thore, in the Eden Valley. It's a semi-detached stone cottage. The sunroom looks out over the back garden and the fells.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The stairs are standard for a cottage.
The kitchen has what you'd need, including a dishwasher and washing machine. The living room has a wood burner. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on the drive.
You can bring one dog. The garden is enclosed, which is useful.
The village has a shop and a pub. The pub is a couple of minutes' walk. It's a proper local.
You're about 20 minutes from Penrith for bigger supermarkets. The Northern Lakes are a 15-20 minute drive. You can be in Pooley Bridge for a Ullswater steamer trip quite easily.
For walking, you're well placed. High Cup Nick is a famous walk from Dufton, about 10 miles away. Long Meg stone circle is closer. For a historical day out, Hardknott Roman Fort is about a 40 minute drive into the Lakes.
