Rundales Cottage is a converted barn just outside Brampton. We live next door in the main farmhouse. It looks out over the fields and it's quiet.
It sleeps three, in two bedrooms. One is a double, the other is a single. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well finished. The wood burner works well if you want a fire.
There's a pub about half a mile down the lane. It's a proper local, they do food. The nearest shop is in Brampton itself, just over a mile away.
You're in a good spot here for getting about. The northern Lakes are about a thirty minute drive. Keswick, Skiddaw, that way. The Yorkshire Dales are about the same distance to the east. Hadrian's Wall is close, you can be at Birdoswald in twenty minutes. The Scottish border isn't far if you fancy a drive up to Gretna.
For facilities, it's all there: washing machine, TV, wifi, parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
