The Woodland
The Woodland is a new-build lodge near the village of Great Strickland, in the Eden Valley. It's detached, so you're on your own, and it's all on one level. There's a big patio out the back with a table and chairs.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, all with kingsize beds. One bedroom can be split into twins if you need it. There are two bathrooms, one is quite large. It's got a five star rating, which really just means everything is new and works properly.
The main room is open plan: kitchen, dining table, and living area all together. There's a wood burner for chilly evenings. The wifi is fine. The bi-fold doors let a lot of light in.
There's a pub about a hundred yards down the road. They serve food. Penrith is five miles away for supermarkets and other shops.
You're right on the edge of the Lake District. It's about two miles to the National Park boundary. Ullswater is six miles away. The M6 motorway is close, so it's easy to get to, and you can also head east into the Pennines.
Included in the price: all bedding and towels, a cot, a highchair. There's parking for two cars on the drive. You can bring up to two dogs. It has wheelchair access to the front door and it's all on the ground floor inside.
