The Laburnums is in Askham, Cumbria. It's a semi-detached house in a quiet village. The garden is south-facing and enclosed, with a patio and a barbecue area. It gets the sun.
The house sleeps six. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-finished. There's a wood burner in the living room. The kitchen is open plan.
Askham has two village greens. There's a shop and two pubs about a hundred yards away. The shop is well-stocked. The village also has an outdoor heated pool open in summer, with a lifeguard.
You can walk to Ullswater from here. It's about three miles over the fells. Or you can drive it in a few minutes. From there you can walk the shore or get a cruise from Glenridding or Pooley Bridge.
Lowther Castle and Gardens and the Birds of Prey Centre are a short drive away. For other walks, you're near the Helton Fells and have easy access to Haweswater and the Eden Valley too.
Facilities wise: there's parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a cot and highchair if needed. Bedding and towels are included. No pets sorry.
