Sharrow Cottage is in Watermillock. It’s up a hill, so the main thing you get is the view down over Ullswater and the fields.
It sleeps six, across three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's fine and clean, but don't expect anything flash. Parking is right there.
The cottage is on its own, a typical stone place. There's a woodburner in the living room. The garden's got a patio area and looks out over the view.
You can walk down to the steamer jetty at Howtown Landing in about fifteen minutes. From there you can get a boat up to Pooley Bridge or down to Glenridding.
Aira Force waterfall is about halfway along the lake road. You can walk there. For bigger walks, you've got the Helvellyn range right behind you, or you can follow the Ullswater Way path.
Pooley Bridge village is a few miles away for shops and cafes. Keswick and Windermere are both within half an hour's drive.
Inside, it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and towels are included. It says the entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the cottage is on a slope and there are steps to the main living area.
You can bring one well-behaved dog.
